First Post on Typepad

Trying out Typepad. Dunno yet if this is going to make sense.

Ok, the import feature from Wordpress seemed to work, but I don't seem to have paragraphs in my posts anymore, they are just one big wall of text. Not sure if that is a difference in the stylesheets used, or the export/import process, or what.

Next: go through all these posts and see if Typepad is going to work.

So far, the advantage is to Typepad. It's significantly cheaper than hosting my own blog, represents most if not all of the functionality I use, and, being a hosted solution, I don't have to keep updating the software.

The disadvantages I see are not being able to have a server to upload stuff to whenever I want. Not sure if I'll really miss that now that I have SmugMug for pictures and video.
